  1. Hey Maria, Love your post and your list. We sometimes forget there is a big wide world right in our backyards:)and we sometimes even forget what to do with it when we get there. We have always said to our children BACK IN OUR DAY even though it wasn’t that long ago:) we would be happy with a piece of rope, a old tyre and a tree. Things are so different these days. This is such a refreshing post. When I was a child l loved climbing trees but l do prefer to stay a little closer to the ground these day, gardening and playing with Lola and Milo(our dogs)

  2. Maria, as usual your discourse is spot on. I make up excuses that Wichita, Kansas isn’t woodsy enough for me. But, since I am retired, it is extremely affordable. My backyard is my sanctuary. I just need to spend more time enjoying what is right under my feet. Thanks so much for the reminder. Just a few days ago, I spent about twelve hours outdoors. It was purely delightful!
